A forest bathing walk (Shinrin-yoku) in the Florida Botanical Gardens is a guided, slow-paced immersive experience designed to connect participants with nature through their senses. Unlike a typical garden tour, the focus isn't on identifying plants but on mindful engagement with the environment. Participants are encouraged to slow down, breathe deeply, and gently open themselves to the sights, sounds, smells, and textures of the garden. The guide facilitates this sensory awareness, offering prompts to help participants fully experience the present moment in nature.
The goal is to reduce stress, promote relaxation, and foster a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
Tea and snacks will be served at a post walk discussion.
