The Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation presents the new Majeed Discovery Garden (MDG) at the Florida Botanical Gardens. We have been working diligently on this project, and we are very excited to announce it to the public.
A Grand Opening is scheduled for Saturday, November 4th from 10 AM-2 PM.
Due to a rise in construction costs and materials, we have increased our fundraising goal, and encourage the community to view the project, and get inspired to give back.
$800,000 has been secured from additional donors, including a generous gift from the David Berolzheimer Foundation.
The Majeed Foundation has contributed $1,000,000.
The Florida Botanical Garden Foundation has provided $500,000+ for the initial costs.
Annual operational cost will be a function of general maintenance, programming, events, staffing requirements and volunteer participation
Enjoy the many benefits of membership to the gardens, including discounts to our Botanical Bounty Gift Shop, local nurseries, and Foundation events, as well as reciprocal admission to over 300+ gardens in the U.S., Canada, Cayman and Virgin Islands.
