Holiday Lights in the Garden Volunteers

It’s a lot of fun!  From the day after Thanksgiving to December 30 the Gardens come alive from 5:30pm to 9:30pm with over one million LED lights.  It is our biggest annual event and you can be part of it as a greeter or sales person. Greeters are needed at one of our four entrances to accept donations from our visitors, stamp hands, give directions and make folks feel welcomed.  The sales persons make sales from our outdoor gift cart which is full of fun things for children and those who are young at heart. Get started by clicking here or call 582-2117 and leave your name and phone number or email us at

Gift & Plant Sale Volunteers

Sunday, December 9 marks the time for our annual Gift & Plant Sales. Vendors are on hand with plants and lots of great gifts for the gardeners in our lives. Guests stroll the gardens while doing their shopping. This is always a great break from the shopping mall crowds.  Volunteers help with set-up/tear-down, customer assistance, greeting guests and accepting entry donations. Click Here to sign up

Gift Shop Volunteers

Working for the FBG Foundation Gift Shop is a low-stress opportunity, in a beautiful place, with wonderful people.  As a volunteer, you conduct sales transactions, help customers, and interact as a “goodwill ambassador” for the Gardens and the Foundation.  Year-round residents are preferred, as we need the consistency.  All sales proceeds benefit the Gardens.

The day is divided into two shifts:  10 am to 1:30 pm and 1:30 to 5PM.  A commitment of one shift per week is required.  During our annual Holiday Lights in the Garden (the day after Thanksgiving to December 30, the shop is open in the evening from 5 pm to 9:30 pm.  Gift Shop volunteers are asked to pick two to three evening shifts to help during this event.

No previous sales experience is required, but reliability is extremely important to our success. The gift shop is in the lobby of the Pinellas County Building, located at 12520 Ulmerton Road in Largo.  Please contact our gift shop manager, Stacey Zidi, at 727-582-2251 or
