Speaking of History: The Destruction of Rosewood

A Lecture Series at Heritage Village pertaining to Pinellas County and Florida history, culture, and of course heritage! 2:00 p.m. in the Pinewood Culture Park Auditorium Q&A with the presenter and light refreshments after the program. Get a free ticket at the Heritage Village Front Desk to reserve your space. November 17, 2019 The Destruction of Rosewood Join Dr. Vincent Adejumo, Senior lecturer at the University of Florida, African American Studies Program, for his critical analysis of Rosewood. This predominantly black community was destroyed in 1923 during a racially motivated attack. Dr. Adejumo will explore the context of Rosewood and other majority-black cities in Florida.
