The
Florida
Botanical
Garden
foundation
sponsors
the
“Holiday
Lights
in
the
Garden”.
Share
the
Holiday
Spirit
and
enjoy
the
beautiful
gardens
that
sparkle
with
the
warmth
of
the
season. A community tradition strolling through the shining
gardens adds a touch of festivity to everyone’s holiday. Our
garden glows with tropical plants, roses, fruits, herbs, hibiscus,
bromeliads and more. A dedication to sustainability shines
through with many environmentally friendly LED lights – more than
500,000 twinkling lights in all.
The
FBGF
Board
supports
the
Holiday
Lights
every
night,
along
with
many
volunteers. Admission
is
free
to
children
under
12,
with
a
suggested
minimum
donation
of
$2
per
adult.
All
donations go directly to support
the gardens.
Holiday Lights in the
Gardens
Celebrate
the
season
at
the
Florida
Botanical
Gardens
Foundation's
annual
Holiday
Lights.
More
than
500,000
lights
will
illuminate
the
thousands of
plants and trees that already make the gardens shine year-round.
Home-grown
entertainers
perform
nightly.
Refreshments
are
available.
Santa
Claus
is
on
hand whenever he
can get away from the North Pole. A
$2
per
person
donation
is
requested
(no
fee
for
children
12
and
younger)
to
help
pay
for this family-friendly
extravaganza.

The
day-long
special
event
in
the
formal
gardens will feature more than 35 vendors selling an assortment of
plants, including orchids, hibiscus, iris, bromeliads, native plants,
herbs and citrus, and a variety of items perfect for gift giving,
including unique clothing, outdoor items, select food items, crafts,
jewelry, candies and more. The Botanical Bounty Gift shop will also be
offering its beautiful merchandise. Free entry for visitors during the
daylight hours.

Parade

Registration for the parade will be from 1 to
1:45 p.m. and the parade will begin promptly at 2 p.m. Prizes will be
awarded in several categories: Best
Costume, Best
Trick, Best
sit and stay on command,
Prettiest
(girls), Handsomest (boys), Best
Fetch & Drop on command.
Registration
will
be
$5
per
category.
