Our Diggin’ the Arts event returned to
the Florida Botanical Gardens on Sunday, May 5,
2013 from 10:00AM to 4:00PM.
Art Museums and Centers.
Our second annual collaboration with the leading
art institutions in Pinellas County included the
Museum of Fine Arts of St. Petersburg, the
Morean Center for Clay, the Florida Craftsmen,
the Dunedin Fine Arts Center, the Dali Museum,
The Suntan Arts Center and the Beach Arts
Center. Enjoy museum-developed activities
for the entire family. Opportunity
drawings for hand painted rain barrels, also
designed by each museum will be available for
purchase.

Competition Winners May 5, 2013
Diggin’ the Arts hosted by the Florida Botanical
Gardens Foundation announces winners of the
Plein Air Competition on Sunday, May 5,
2013.
Competition awards were:
Best of Show - Winner Cathy Morgan
First Place - Winner Deborah Vest
Second Place - Winner Charles Gray
2 Merit Awards - Rhonda Care and Susan Fritz
Rain
Barrel Opportunity Drawing.
Each museum decorated a rain barrel for
a drawing, as well as the Florida Botanical
Gardens Foundation.

Tours. Throughout the day,
there were Garden tours led by Master
Gardeners.
